Joseph and Carol

Just returned from a four-day shoot in Pioneertown and Lake Arrowhead, California for Ron Morris Films. Blake’s Ballad is a short feature written especially for young actress Lexi Ulmer based on her terrific musical skills and natural talent.

I worked as First AC, with camera operator Joseph Walsh and DP David Dibble. Some of the crew came from nearby Riverside, while a few students from Scottsdale Community College filled out the grip and electric departments. It was fun staying on location, with natural beauty outside (Lake Arrowhead) and interesting decor inside (Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown).
